“However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace.” Acts 20:24 NIV

Beth Zier

Beth Zier

Beth Zier shares some of her life journey of overcoming challenges and near-death experiences. She is a survivor!

Her speaking ministry began following her survival of a near-fatal car accident in 1980 when she was given less than a 5% chance to live. She talks about her experience of God’s grace and lessons learned as a result of her nearness to death.

Beth is also a breast cancer survivor. Again, she shares about her God-given faith, hope, trust and grace while on her journey.

Beth is an active member of the Lutheran church. She’s been involved with lay ministries, women’s ministries, retreat ministries and adult education. She is a long-time distance runner and marathoner. She also participated in the Seattle Breast Cancer 3 Day – 60 mile walk, September 2007, in celebration of her 5 year survival; and again in September 2012 to celebrate 10 years. Beth and her husband, Mark, have two grown sons, a daughter-in-law and a granddaughter.

Speaking Clips

Click on the link below to listen to "Beth's story" shared at the worship services at Immanuel Lutheran Church Sunday, October 18th, 2015. Her story begins approximately at 5:45 into the clip.

After being given less than a 5% chance to survive the injuries of a violent car accident at the age of 22, Beth Zier would face yet another life-changing obstacle years later when diagnosed with Breast Cancer. These snippets are taken from her presentation at the Fargo Marathon event in May 2013. This inspiring video will give you a glimpse into the way her physical fitness and her faith helped her survive and thrive through both of these challenges.

These snippets are taken from her presentation at the Oak Grove Lutheran High School Chapel in September 2013.
